Committed to Life Saving Skills and Equipment

In 2022 following incidents in football and our own Associate family, STERIS IMS made the decision to commission the installation of AED’s at each of our STERIS IMS facilities. 

This included the development of a first aid training module on STERIS University ( the online educational platform for our Customers and Associates).

Combined with this installation we registered all our AED’s on The National Defibrillator Network (The Circuit) meaning ambulance crew or other trained individuals can access and operate our equipment at any time when anyone in our local communities may need them.

Understanding the lifesaving principles of CPR is also an integral part of the Healthcare Science Apprenticeship standard, whereby our training team use the online practical training sessions provided by British Heart Foundation to deliver training and, the apprentices learn how to use the AEDs installed at each of our facilities.
